| 2026-09-28 | Legs | Squat | 100 kg x 5 | 55 | 8 |
| 2026-09-30 | Push | Bench press | 70 kg x 6 | 50 | 7 |
Program
- Monday: legs (squat, lunges, calves)
- Wednesday: push (bench, overhead press, dips)
- Friday: pull (deadlift, rows, pull-ups)
- Weekend: an easy run
Personal bests
- Squat: 100 kg x 5 (2026-09-28)
- Bench press: 70 kg x 6 (2026-09-30)
The note after a few days of talking to your AI. Tinted lines are what it added, the way Amber Notes shows an AI's changes, with Undo and the earlier version kept in the note's history.
What the prompt does
Your AI creates a note called “Workout log” in your Health folder, or finds the one you already have, and learns how to keep it. One row per session. After training, tell your AI what you did in one message.
Paste it once into a chat in ChatGPT or Claude with Amber Notes turned on, or into Claude Code.
Then just talk to it
- Legs today: squat 100 kg for 5, then lunges. About 55 minutes, felt hard.
- Am I getting stronger on bench?
- What did I do last Wednesday?
Show the full prompt
First, look for a note called "Workout log" in my Amber Notes with search_notes. If there isn't one, create it with create_note in the folder "Health", using exactly the markdown at the end of this message, the <!-- pane-table --> line included (it gives the table's columns their types).
Then: Use my Amber Notes note "Workout log". After a session I'll tell you what I did. Log one row with log_table_row: Workout as one of the options, the Main lift, the Top set like "100 kg x 5", Minutes, and Effort from 1 to 10. If I beat a number listed under "Personal bests", or there's none for that lift yet, add it there with append_to_note and today's date. When I ask how I'm doing, read the table with read_table and compare the last four weeks.
```markdown Workout log One row per session. After training, tell your AI what you did in one message. <!-- pane-table: Date=date; Workout=choice Push|Pull|Legs|Run|Other; Main lift=text; Top set=text; Minutes=number; Effort=scale 1-10 --> | Date | Workout | Main lift | Top set | Minutes | Effort | | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | ## Program - Monday: legs (squat, lunges, calves) - Wednesday: push (bench, overhead press, dips) - Friday: pull (deadlift, rows, pull-ups) - Weekend: an easy run ## Personal bests ```
The note you start with
This is what the prompt creates in Amber Notes: an ordinary note with the headings and the table ready. Your AI fills it in from there, and you can still edit every line yourself.
