  • P2: broken, but there's a workaround. Schedule it.
  • P3: polish. When there's time.

Export crashes on notes with images

  1. Open a note with two or more photos.
  2. Choose Export as PDF.
  3. The app quits.

Likely cause: images are loaded at full size before they're scaled.

The note after a few days of talking to your AI. Tinted lines are what it added, the way Amber Notes shows an AI's changes, with Undo and the earlier version kept in the note's history.

What the prompt does

Your AI creates a note called “Bug triage” in your Work folder, or finds the one you already have, and learns how to keep it. Every bug report in one table, sorted by how much it hurts. Paste a report and your AI files it.

Paste it once into a chat in ChatGPT or Claude with Amber Notes turned on, or into Claude Code.

Then just talk to it

  • Here's a report from a customer: …
  • What's P1 and still open?
  • We fixed the export crash, mark it.

For ChatGPT or Claude

First, look for a note called "Bug triage" in my Amber Notes with search_notes. If there isn't one, create it with create_note in the folder "Work", using exactly the markdown at the end of this message, the <!-- pane-table --> line included (it gives the table's columns their types). Then: Use my Amber Notes note "Bug triage". When I paste a bug report, file it: read the rules under "Severity" in the note, then add one row with log_table_row with a short Bug title, Severity by those rules, the Area, Status New, Reported as today's date, and the Link if there is one. If the report has steps to reproduce, add them under "Details" with append_to_note under a "###" heading with the bug title. To change a status, read the note with read_note and update the row with edit_note.

When we fix one, set its Status to Fixed with edit_note.

The note you start with

This is what the prompt creates in Amber Notes: an ordinary note with the headings and the table ready. Your AI fills it in from there, and you can still edit every line yourself.
